Cosy cottages with stunning views, close to Napier and other attractions. Perfect for families, couples, or even groups. Loved being the first to see the sunrise. Beautiful ocean and mountain views from the viewpoint. BBQ area and petanque court added to the fun.

Oh, I just hated having so many activities and events on my doorstep. How stressful!

The cottage was bright and clean, and we loved the fresh eggs provided for breakfast. The location was great for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to cycling and walking paths. We also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and found it very restful.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about our stay. The experience was overall positive and we would definitely consider returning.

Lovely cottages in a peaceful location with comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchens, and spacious bathrooms. The breakfast provisions and home-grown fruit were a good touch. The grounds were beautiful with a games room, laundry, and free unlimited wifi. a perfect place to stay with fabulous hosts. I'll recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic time at Clive Colonial Cottages! The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the homely touches like fresh eggs and citrus trees added a special charm. The peaceful country location was convenient for exploring the nearby villages and towns. The cottages themselves were beautifully set in attractive grounds and the rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The outdoor facilities like the deck, BBQ set up, and giant chess set were a bonus. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely and quiet stay in a beautiful garden setting. Easy access to cycle/walking track and a great pub nearby. Grounds are well maintained and there is the added bonus of being able to pick fresh fruit from the orchard.

Stained cups were off-putting and the bed was a bit smaller than expected. Lack of Sky TV and limited access to international news channels for the price paid.

We loved staying at this cozy cottage. The hosts were wonderful and the amenities provided were great. The breakfast supplies for the first morning were a nice touch. We also enjoyed having access to the beautiful citrus fruit grown on the hotel.

The cottages at Clive Colonial Cottages are like cozy little havens. The rooms are beautifully designed and offer a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. I love the lounge area with the comfortable sofa and the Smart TV with free Netflix. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the sun-drenched courtyard. It can get a little too hot for my liking, but I understand that others might enjoy the sunny aspect.

The cottage was fantastic! Well located for visiting Hawke's Bay cellar doors and Napier. Comfy beds, quiet, and equipped with Netflix. Lovely extras like fresh eggs and breakfast food provided. Immaculate and tastefully decorated. Beautiful garden and communal barbecue facilities. Excellent selection of DVDs. Most welcoming and helpful hosts.

I had a wonderful stay at Colonial Cottages in Clive. the cottages were just as beautiful as they looked in the photos and I loved the peaceful and picturesque setting. the hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped with a fully stocked kitchen. I especially enjoyed the fresh eggs from their chickens and the variety of breakfast supplies provided. The location was perfect, being just a short drive away from both Napier and Hastings. Cons: There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay. 💯.
